This Sesame Soy Sauce rivals that of restaurants with authentic taste from special stock. It can be used for one-time meals and it even shortens the cooking time. The special stock is made from such ingredients as long fermented soy sauce made from non-processed soybeans and wheat grown in Japan, domestic katsuobushi, sababushi and sodabushi, and kombu from Hokkaido. Aromatic deep roasted sesame and red sake (used by professionals as a substitute for rice wine) are then added to achieve a natural elegant flavor.
It can be used with various soy-sauce seasoned dishes, such as pickles, blue mackerel, boiled fish and teriyaki. Since no chemical seasoning is used, it will give your dishes a natural savor. Also, the amount of salt used is half that of dense soy sauce so there is no need to worry about salt. |
