Ingredients (4 Servings)
  • 500g of ground chicken
  • 1 onion
  • 10 green perilla (shiso) leaves

  • 1 egg
  • A little less than 1 cup of bread crumbs
  • 50g of Onizaki's Crushed Sesame (White)

  • Pinch of salt and pepper
  • 1 tsp. granulated bouillon powder
  • 1 1/2 tsp. soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp. sake (rice wine)
  • ----------------------------------------
  • 1 - 2 tbsp. Onizaki's Pure White Sesame Seed Oil
  • Grated Japanese radish - to taste
  • Ponzu sauce (soy sauce with citrus juice) - to taste
Cooking Directions
  1. Mince the onion and cut 6 perilla leaves into thin strips.
  2. Add the vegetables in 1., A and B to the ground chicken and mix well.
  3. Divide the batch into 8 equal pieces and shape each into a small oval hamburger shape. Cook in a frying pan using preheated White Sesame Seed Oil.
  4. Serve the hamburgers on a plate with garnishes of your choice. Top a perilla leaf with grated Japanese radish and place upon each person's plate. Pour ponzu sauce on the grated Japanese radish to complete.
