Pepe Lemon
A raw type spice with tasty fresh lemon
This is a new kind of condiment made from lemon zest and green chilies blended into a paste, with a dash of salt. Using generous quantities of zest from Japanese lemons, its fresh taste and bold spiciness create an addictively delicious taste. And it’s ground until it forms a very fine paste, so it has a pleasantly smooth texture. Simply dab some on top of grilled meat, fresh vegetables, white fish, sashimi, shellfish or chilled tofu, and enjoy. In certain regions of Kyushu, yuzu pepper – made from yuzu zest and red pepper (known simply as “pepper” by the locals) – is a famous product. Using lemon zest instead of yuzu zest, Pepe Lemon is a brand-new kind of condiment in the same style.
